Monday :)

Literature festival is on Wednesday.  Your child needs to bring a lunch! We will be back in time for dismissal. Spelling city is updated for this weeks list.  Test is on Thursday. 

Please continue to go over division with your child.  Several students are still having issues with this.

Suffixes are added to the end of a word.  When we add –es, we need to
change the –y to an –i and add –es.
fly—flies
If the word ends in a short vowel and
consonant, double the consonant then
add the –ed or -ing, drip –dripped—dripping.  If the word ends in silent e,
drop the e and add the –ed or –ing.

rope—roped—roping
hope--hoped--hoping

If the word ends with a consonant y,
just add the –ing.
try—trying
carry—carrying
